SF Rent vs. the Rest of the U.S. Told with Food
Living in San Francisco is expensive. Finding a one-bedroom apartment for under $2,500 a month is considered a steal. During my time interning at The Bold Italic, I pitched, art directed, and wrote an article illustrating through food how much more real estate you can rent with the same budget in other parts of the country.
This article was featured in the design blog Under Consideration and was the most shared piece in The Bold Italic’s history.
Note: This article no longer exists online because The Bold Italic, previously owned by Gannett, is now run by a different company.
