How High Prices for Diabetes Care Amplify Health Inequities


In light of the Black Lives Matter movement, my op-ed explores how diabetes medical suppliers are actively manufacturing and marketing our life support to perpetuate a world where temporary cures are only available to those who can afford them. Price gouging practices, which put disproportionately more BIPOC lives at risk, are validated each time an essential diabetes supplier is welcomed as a friendly face in the diabetes community.
